For many years visitors to the Musgrave Collection from near and far have asked if a biography of the author was available.
The Museum/Art Gallery showing the work of George Musgrave has for many years been recognised by Eastbourne Tourism as one of the attractions of the town.
In 2001 the Charity Commissioners, based on the advice of knowledgeable people, wrote that the Trustees should "establish and maintain in perpetuity the substantial collection of paintings, works of art, sculptures, writings, videos, photographs and general artefacts received from George Musgrave and collected together by him over his entire lifetime for promoting the study and general knowledge of the various artistic subjects of the Collection with the object of advancing the education of the public".
The recently finished oil painting entitled "A Speck of Dust" presents the life story of George Musgrave.
This booklet is a brief outline of what we hope to produce at a later date. All proceeds from the sale of this presentation will go to the funding of the Musgrave Collection Charity to contribute to the future of the Collection.
